As The Screen Clears

Slowly the opaque screen

begins to fade,

separating us

from the vibrant world,

whole and untrammeled

despite the plundering

of so many years.

In the field of opposites

this vision is forsaken

for drama and victory.

As the screen clears

oddly there is more violence

yet that too will pass.

The new heaven

will not be denied

and in that revelation

comes the new earth

so long awaited.

Let not these moments

be misused or neglected

for they vanguard

the return of the sacred,

the green fields

and still waters

of our one true home.
