Marianne  Williamson

announcing  candidacy  for

President  of  the  United  States

My strategy isn't strategy.

My strategy is that I seek to speak as deeply, articulately and passionately as I can.

I'm not trying to figure out what to say to get people to vote for me.

I'm seeking to have the conversation that I believe we need to be having.

These are very serious times.

We need to be very serious, deep thinkers.

We need someone to articulate what's happening, the deeper levels of moral dysfunction.

I have had a 35-year career in naming and transforming those dynamics.

That's my qualification for the presidency at this time.

Spirit Dancing

Spirit  Dancing

David Barnes   April 8, 2001  Sunrise Ranch

Mariya Kasow played the drum, accompanied by Arrow Flora on the didgeridoo, while David Barnes read a poem he wrote

David Barnes — We are going to share a poem with you called spirit dancing. It's about the Creator's Law, which we know is the law of giving and receiving in balance. It's about celebrating living the law around the cycles of the seasons—dancing the law—spirit dancing.

spirit dancing

the creator's Law bids us to dance

the solar pulse calls us to dance

the mother's heartbeat leads us to dance

the dance of the spirit draws us together

the creator's Law bids us to dance

we all are related in the dance of the Law

the Law is a gift

living is giving

dancing the gift

dancing the circle

dancing the cycle

round

seasons of plenty

dancing the cycle round seasons of plenty

dancing the seasons round cycles of giving

dancing to celebrate rhythms of living

we dance and we celebrate — living the Law

giving and receiving — being the Law

sowing and reaping — thankful for Law

the seed and the harvest — receiving the Law

ebbing and flowing — breathing the Law

the light and the dark — encircled by Law

the sun and the earth — oneness in Law

the rhythms of being — dancing the Law

dancing the Law brings a knowing in living

the Law brings us plenty

the Law brings us balance

the Law brings connection

the Law brings us power

a stranger arrived in the garden of glory

with ambitions and fears and demons and noise and obsessions

with

illusions of progress

convictions of sin

and they did their best

to stop

both the music and the dance

but the tide can't be turned

and the music plays on

and the heartbeat is heard

and the dance is forever

here

in this day

we join in the music and the dance of a joyous creation

woman and man — wakan and skan

dancing our love

for the

lord of the dance

dancing our love

for the

goddess of rhythm

the creator's Law bids us to dance

the solar pulse calls us to dance

the mother's heartbeat leads us to dance

the dance of the spirit draws us together

we all are related in the dance of the Law

the creator's Law bids us to dance

it's a good day to dance

it's a good day to dance

it's a good day to dance

I've been thinking about language, and the use of various languages to communicate. Some varied forms of language have already been used this morning — the language of the drum, and the language of the didgeridoo; the language of the spirit expressed through Mariya and Arrow. The language of the poetry, the words selected to clothe the rhythm, the information conveyed, the spirit of the words. I've been thinking of what could be called the one language, or the language of oneness — the language of love.

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do
determined to save
the only life you could save.

Our  True  Ancestry

Martin Exeter
April 27, 1909 — January 12, 1988

What great destiny could this little patch
Of Cariboo earth hold,
These few tumbledown buildings
Gently moldering away on a lonely road
In a lonely land
Far from the pulse of cities
And the wealth and power of England?
No destiny here,
Common sense would have said
As it surveyed the forlorn scene
Other than the age-old fate
Etched deep in the human heart
—To labor, to dream, and to die.
But he beat the system,
This man I knew as Martin.

He did not allow himself to get away with things.
He did not allow himself to quit.
He kept his integrity.
And as he held fast to that golden cord
The sweet voice of spirit spoke from the stillness
And reminded him of a different ancestry
A different home
Greater than the proud name of England
Or the proud halls of Burghley.
He remembered his place in the serene order
Of the stars,
And in the sunlit courtyards of eternity.

He remembered that he was not just of the earth
Even though he lived here for the moment;
He carried the light of the sun in his eyes.
He was a prince
From the realm of light
And he had come to remind others
— Trapped in bonds of forgetfulness and despair —
That they too were of light
And together their work was to return the planet
To a place of beauty and love.

A  Home  Among  The  Stars

Uranda

From the Shining Citadels

Of Raira’s eternal sphere

Where we had lived and served for countless ages

We journeyed forth

Into the deep of space unlighted

Into the vast void of nothingness

The desert places of the Cosmos

The unused wilderness between the suns

That we might build a place of habitation

A mansion in the boundless heavens

And a home among the stars

The  Beauty  of  Incantation

from  Choruses From The Rock

T. S. Eliot

Out of the sea of sound the life of music

There spring the perfect order of speech, and the beauty of incantation.

For Man is joined spirit and body,

And therefore must serve as spirit and body.

Visible and invisible, two worlds meet in Man;

Visible and invisible must meet in His Temple;

You must not deny the body.

Now you shall see the Temple completed:

The dressed altar, the lifting light,

Light

Light

The visible reminder of invisible Light.

O Light Invisible, we praise Thee!

О Greater Light, we praise Thee for the less;

The eastern light our spires touch at morning,

The light that slants upon our western doors at evening.

The twilight over stagnant pools at batflight,

Moon light and star light, owl and moth light,

Glow-worm glowlight on a grassblade.

O Light invisible, we worship Thee!

We thank Thee for the lights that we have kindled,

The light of altar and of sanctuary;

Small lights of those who meditate at midnight

And lights directed through the coloured panes of windows

And light reflected from the polished stone,

The gilded carven wood, the coloured fresco.

Our gaze is submarine, our eyes look upward

And see the light that fractures through unquiet water.

We see the light but see not whence it comes.

O Light invisible, we glorify Thee!

We thank Thee for our little light, that is dappled with shadow.

We thank Thee who hast moved us to building, to finding,

To forming at the ends of our fingers and beams of our eyes.

And when we have built an altar to the Invisible Light, we may

set thereon the little lights for which our bodily vision is made.

And we thank Thee that darkness reminds us of light.

O Light Invisible, we give Thee thanks for Thy great glory!

Simple  Gifts

Yo-Yo Ma  and  Alison Krauss

'Tis the gift to be simple

'tis the gift to be free

'Tis the gift to come down

Where we ought to be

And when we find ourselves

In the place just right

'Twill be in the valley

Of love and delight

When true simplicity is gained

To bow and to bend

We shall not be ashamed

To turn, turn

Will be our delight

'Till by turning, turning

We come round right

The  Origin  of  the  Praise  of  God

Robert  Bly

My friend, this body is made of bone and excited protozoa! And it is with my body that I love the fields. How do I know what I feel but what the body tells me? Erasmus thinking in the snow, translators of Vergil who burn up the whole room; the man in furs reading the Arabic astrologer falls off his three-legged stool in astonishment; this is the body. So beautifully carved inside, with the curves of the inner ear, and the husk so rough, kunckle-brown.

As we walk, we enter the magnetic fields of other bodies, and every smell we take in the communities of protozoa see; and a being inside us leaps up toward it, as a horse rears at the starting gate. When we come near each other, we are drawn down into the sweetest pools of slowly circling energies, slowly circling smells; and the protozoa know there are odors the shape of oranges, tornadoes, octopuses.

So the space between two people diminishes, it grows less and less, no one to weep; they merge at last. The sound that pours from the fingertips awakens clouds of cells far inside the body, and beings unknown to us start out on a pilgrimage to their Savior, to their holy place. Their holy place is a small black stone that they remember from Protozoic times, when it was rolled away from a door.

And it was after that they found their friends, who helped them to digest the hard grains of this world. The cloud of cells awakens, intensifies, swarms. The cells dance inside beams of sunlight so thin we cannot see them. To them each ray is a vast palace, with thousands of rooms. From the dance of the cells praise sentences rise to the throat of the man praying and singing alone in his room. He lets his arms climb above his head, and says: “Now do you still say you cannot choose the Road?”

I  Am  That

Sri  Mooji  Baba  June 19, 2016

Monte Sahaja, Portugal

"I am going to bring you the message of Ramana Maharshi, I’m going to bring you the message of Shankara, which is not only just a message, I AM their message right now. And I’m not afraid to say that, that is not pride, I don’t say it as pride, but someone has to have the courage to say. I have the courage to say what I AM, so I have to say this on your behalf, because you’re afraid to say it!

I have to say I AM THAT on behalf of you, it is not arrogance, it is not blasphemy to say. Take courage, and listen with your heart when I tell you, follow my pointings. Because what I say now with such conviction, you yourself will be able to speak with the authority of your own experience. Look, follow and see!"

Mooji

I am not a speaker nor a preacher. I have no mission to change the world. I have no original words or teaching to give anyone. I reflect only what I’ve seen and heard, most ordinary, very common. I have no fascination for fresh ideas and activity. All enthusiasm for worldly endeavors and strivings have all but gone. For me, thoughts, words and deeds, the activities of life, are merely the utensils for serving out the prasad of the Beingness.

Mooji is a Master in the Advaita tradition — the path of non-duality which states that there is but one single reality, one source from — and in which — the manifest worlds of names and forms appear. Anthony Paul Moo-Young (Mooji) was born in 1954 in Port Antonio, Jamaica. He moved to England in 1969 and is presently living in London He is a direct disciple of Sri Harilal Poonja (Papaji), the renowned Indian Master, who, in the lineage of Ramana Maharshi (the sage of Arunachala) made the introspective path of Self-inquiry widely available as a direct way to freedom.

"The  Cosmos  Sent  Me"

Alan Hammond  May 5, 2002

Computers are rather like appendages to the human brain. They have allowed an intensified, accelerated development in certain areas of human activity. But there are many areas of human life that are lagging far behind. So there are great imbalances appearing in human consciousness and activity. It is pretty obvious that one of the lagging areas is that of spiritual awareness. With this tremendous imbalance manifesting now, if the human race is to be preserved it becomes imperative that the area of spiritual awareness be accelerated.

Development of spiritual awareness in human consciousness has been brought about by radiation from the undimensional levels of Being, and that has manifested in the body of mankind in the form of spiritual ministries, teachers, and leaders. This endeavor throughout history has been unsuccessful, inasmuch as the human consciousness has not been restored to the awareness of true Identity. I am sure, in this immediate phase now, the traditional forms of spiritual education — such as teaching, counseling, ritual, and the many forms we know in religion — will continue to be useful. But something of a more exponential nature is needed if pace is to be kept with the accelerating development in other areas of human activity. There really is not enough time for the creeping progress of previous centuries. The higher level of participation in the inexorable emergence of the Archangelic Identity will be experienced by those who are aware of it and who move with Its presence and all-pervading effect.

What we are concerned with is the establishment of the presence of true Being, an expression of true character, the Creator. We know that in order for the disappearance of self-centeredness, it is not a matter of fighting our self-centered traits (of which we should be only too aware); it is, rather, a matter of letting identity move into that of the Creator. In the expression of that quality of character, self-centeredness dissolves. That is the way to do it. Fighting against self-centeredness is a delaying tactic of the ego to preserve itself. However, it is worth examining one’s own experience to acknowledge signs of self-centeredness when they come up. There can be pleasure in acknowledging and relinquishing self-centeredness in favor of a noble spirit. We eliminate self-centeredness by expressing a noble quality of character in every moment — period. So we seek to do the creative thing in this and every situation, not for one’s own benefit or preference, but to do what is the right thing for the whole. What is the creative act for the whole? And the whole is the cosmos. But, naturally, we must bring it down to the local scene, and therefore ask: What is the right and creative thing to do in my perception of the whole scene here? As we do this, the emergence of true Identity is intensified in our local setting. However, we do take into account that many of the people around us are self-centered, and it is not a matter of serving self-centered people and their wants, as if that is serving the whole. We take that into account, but within ourselves we live in the spirit of “What is the creative thing here?”

As the human ego dissolves, we find ourselves identified in the character of Being. Being, God, the Creator, is One. Each of us is an aspect of the Creator, “I Am.” We have utilized such terms as the angelic Identity. That angelic Identity is an aspect of the Archangelic Identity, which is the identity of the planet. And, although we could no doubt go through intermediary stages, basically the Archangelic Identity is an aspect of cosmic Identity — the cosmic “I Am.” This is who we undeniably are. Now, this matter of saying we are an aspect of cosmic Identity may initially sound to be merely a concept. But we can meditate in feeling about being part of the one cosmic Identity. If we do that, we can just relax, acknowledge the obvious truth of it, and feel and know that we are moving with this one, vast Being.

Here is a little parenthetical thought: No Angel, no individual focus of Being who is a part of the Archangelic Identity, can move beyond the focus of the Archangelic Body — in Western religious terms, that point of focus has been called the Lord of Lords. There is a focus. No individual differentiation of that Identity can move beyond that point of focus and reach off into the cosmos all by him/herself. But if identity is factually in the angelic state, that Angel is an aspect of the Lord of Lords and shares the perspective, the outlook, the interests and responsibilities, of that point of focus. And these lie well beyond merely what is happening on this planet. There won’t be flights of imaginative fancy too far beyond the principle I have just outlined, but at least there begins to be the awareness of a greater context of Being and potential function.

We have on numerous occasions meditated upon the process of globalization, or integration, which is accelerating in the planetary experience. We have considered some of the outer technologies that are facilitating this process: communication — such as telephone, radio, television; transportation — cars, trains, planes; and computers. And there is the movement towards integration with the greater cosmos through exploration with space probes. However, these are not the causes of the integrative process. They are merely mistranslations by human beings of a spiritual process that is under way. These technologies are, nevertheless, moving the human experience in the integrative direction. This integrative process will increasingly affect every aspect of human experience, including the spiritual experience. Because what is really behind these developments is the intensified radiation of the Archangelic Identity and, one might say, ultimately the coming of the Lord of Lords, the archangelic focus, known also as the Lord of Love, which is the integrative force. The integration is emerging and the results are absolutely inexorable. It shouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see how our meditations on our own sense of reintegration into angelic Identity, Archangelic Identity, and Cosmic Identity, are an aspect of this overall process of reintegration and the awakening to who I Am, We Are.

Another facet of this process can be seen in the power of the individual. We gave consideration to this some time ago. Even in the world of mankind, individuals are finding that they can have a very profound effect on the whole body and consciousness of mankind, often in destructive ways. However, the principle involved here is significant because the individual is an aspect of the Archangel; and as the Archangel comes, the power intensifies, and temporarily, anyway, individuals can (as they always have) misuse spiritual power. This power is not just some ethereal, theoretical power, but all forms of power are ultimately spiritual power. So the emergence of the power of the individual is, in fact, yet another indication of the manifestation of the coming of the Archangel.

The isolated, human-ego mind tries to utilize all the elements of power it can get its hands on — such as the atom, genes, knowledge — in order to create an experience of heaven. We recognize that the one I Am, pure spiritual Being, emerging out of the undimensional levels, naturally utilizes those elements, and many others, of which the isolated mind has no awareness whatsoever. But the Creator, emerging out of the undimensional, has a complete technology available to it. One might say that the divine technology relates to the divine subconscious mind, which clothes the radiation in the various levels of dimensional substance through all the forms in the cosmos.

So, in a more conscious way, we might ask, “How are we to exert some control into the body of mankind as it engages in all these destructive activities? What is the central component in the body of mankind that we should seek to influence?” It is the human consciousness, for it is out of the human consciousness that all the human technologies are spawned. Therefore, one of our main areas of concentrated activity is in the human consciousness.

From the archangelic standpoint, what is needed are points of radiation within the network of human consciousness. In our own consciousness the central focus relates to quality of spirit, quality of character, and we seek to intensify the radiation of this character. Actually, the supreme area of technology relates to radiation, and I am sure we will consider this further in the days ahead. Everything that exists and functions does so by reason of radiation out of the undimensional levels of Being. But, back to our primary concern — without these points of radiation within the consciousness of mankind, it is highly probable that the human form will be eliminated. Not that that is the end of everything, but it is unnecessary. The human form and its consciousness, as we now know, will inevitably disappear anyway. In ten billion years hence, I don’t think the planet will be in a position in the cosmos to support the life-forms exactly the way we know them now, so I am not saying anything very radical. But we are interested in being at the very core of the creative process relative to this wonderful form and its consciousness now, at this critical juncture.

The changes required to restore the experience on Earth will be easily accomplished. I suppose, if we seek an overall perspective of the Earth, we see it as a tiny speck in the cosmos, and we see its consciousness as a tiny speck in the consciousness of cosmic Being. So what is required to change the consciousness on Earth is something very slight, very delicate, a nuance of radiation. I use the idea of a cosmic perspective, and of course the human mind is impressed with vast size and distances, whereas in undimensional Being distance and size is, in one sense, irrelevant. But Being is vast, also, and it is true that the cosmos does reflect in a few dimensions something of that vastness.

When you have a quiet moment, reflect upon the miracle of your own consciousness. The totality of Being and the totality of the cosmos has created your personal consciousness and is supporting it with the totality of Itself. Becoming aware of this, each of us might ask the question, “Why was I sent, and what am I to do? I am to reveal the beauty and the glory of who I Am.” This awareness is projected into and through this consciousness. There is nothing to fear when we awaken our own consciousness as to who We Are, why we are here, and what is back of us. There is nothing else to think about or do, other than to give what we were sent to give in this and every moment. We each can say, “God, Being, the cosmos, sent me — to reveal the oneness and the glory of Life!” Even before the restoration is accomplished, the work itself is glorious!
