god’s  gracious  gift

i have loved you in this field of lush alfalfa

humming,  honey-scented,  purple passion,

heady burgundy

with a hint of lemon laughter,

curious azure blue,

then fiery indigo!

now

your lavender love-song touches me

luminous  green  terrestrial sight

embracing  kind  celestial light

with tears of healing water

abundant springs  and  holy wells

to freshen and enliven

sacred earth.

O  how I love your body!
