Our Foundation of Sun Substance
Alan
Hammond
Human beings have long been
fascinated with the idea of being able to make themselves invisible. We’ve all
probably seen movies featuring an invisible man or woman. It’s always rather
interesting. When they need to be seen, they usually have to either wear
clothes or be bandaged in some way. We’ve sometimes thought of ourselves as
being invisible, but having an outer clothing of human flesh.
Actually, all of us have
practiced being invisible. I’m sure there have been occasions when we hoped to
not be noticed. The way to do this, as we know, is to reduce our radiation to a
minimum. I remember Uranda once said that when he went into the local town he
put a bag over his head—figuratively speaking! He meant that he consciously
reduced the intensity of his output of radiation. We have all done this on
occasion. People are often noticed because of their radiation. Radiation is, in
fact, a range of invisible substance. If you’ve seen a corpse and you knew the
person beforehand, you have realized that the outer form was a mere shell and
that the greater proportion of the interaction with that person had been with
substances of higher levels than with the earthly shell.
As we have previously
considered, all substance has a dimension of consciousness. Let’s just look for
a moment at some of the substances with which we are involved, and how it
affects our experience. There is a mass consciousness for human beings. This
mass consciousness derives from the earthly substances of the planet, out of
which their human physical forms are made. And so these physical substances provide
a universal foundation of consciousness for all people. But then, as we move
out of the mass consciousness substances towards the individual, there is a
gradation of substances and consciousness. For example, there are particular
qualities of substance and consciousness related to an individual’s race. That
is then further differentiated by the locality or nationality of the
individual, then more finely delineated through the individual’s family and its
DNA—and so we come to the individual. So we can see this progression of
individualization of substance and consciousness for each of us.
We might also appreciate that
the conscious mind relates to a very shallow level of substance and that most
of our behavior is governed from the deeper, more universal levels of substance
and mind. Thus we may in our conscious minds have very grand concepts, but our
behavior is largely governed from those larger, deeper levels. This would
include the distorted substances of the Earth, and imprints of the history of
fallen man. Just in what we have been considering thus far, there is actually a
whole topic of consideration with respect to the substances of the planet and
the effects of heat and cold on those substances, which then determine the
kinds of vegetation and foods ingested. All these processes affect the
substances comprising the planet, its forms and their consciousnesses.
Now at a deeper level than the
mass consciousness is Divine Identity, and also the finer substances that
connect living forms into the undimensional levels of Being. It is largely
through these substances that we experience such qualities of consciousness as
conscience, and our ability to move in resonance with what we have called the
Tone—those beautiful qualities characterizing true Being. It is in these deepest
levels of substance that the sense of Divine Self may be embodied. We recognize
that this sense of awareness is not usually present in fallen human beings,
because their sense of self tends to arise from the coarser substances of the
mass, race, nationality, family, and so on.
The Earth is thought of as a
little speck in space. However, its substance and consciousness is not just of that
little speck of physical dust. The Earth is part of the body and consciousness
of the solar system. Science says that 99.85% of all matter in the solar system
is of the Sun. This would include, of course, the so-called fire
substances—gases, dust and radiation. I want to remind you that consciousness
is generated in the aura of substance. Of course there is more to consciousness
than just substances. There is also specific design in substances, but the
quality of substance is a crucial ingredient. We could say it is the foundation
of consciousness. The space just from the Sun to the Earth is full of sun
substance, and of its consciousness. And there are substances present at
vibrational rates not detectable by the human consciousness. Parenthetically, the
sunrises and sunsets we experience are a holographic representation of the life
cycles of all the living forms on Earth.
The Sun and its substances are
often described with such words as glory, light, majesty, and so on.
These are experienced through the aura of what we might call sun
substances. Interestingly, these descriptive words are often used
when describing the characteristics of holy men and women. Invariably these
individuals are shown with halos or auras of light shining from them. These
characteristics relate to the core substances of our Being; thus certain
substances are present when certain qualities of spirit or consciousness are
expressed. These qualities of Character are differentiations of Love, and
include glory, happiness, compassion, nobility, generosity, and so on. These
experiences of Being relate to the finer vibrational substances that blend into
the undimensional levels of Being. They reveal the very core nature of
Ourselves. We could say that “I Am”—the Divine Identity—is most accurately made
manifest when clothed in, shall we call them, sun substances. Thus “I Am” revealed when I express and reveal the
characteristics of the substance of my Being. Jesus said, “He that hath seen me
hath seen the Father”—at all levels. It has also been said that heaven and
Earth—consciousness and substance—are one.
We have heard of such a thing
as the body-mind continuum. What we call higher vibrational rates and
characteristics pervade and influence the lower substances and vibrational
rates of physical forms. The higher vibrational substances pervade and
influence the lower. The lower can, of course, mask or distort the revelation
of these higher substances. The higher substances pervade the lower through
thoughts, words and actions, and then beyond into the individual and collective
worlds, affecting everything they touch.
Human consciousness is now
dominated by the outer, crusty layer of Earth substances and their
consciousnesses. I will just mention here a reminder that the largest
proportion of the Earth is what we call fire,
and the crusty layer of the Earth’s surface is something of a thin veil to the
revelation of these deeper levels of substance. It occurs to me that we may
say, “Well, look at all the beauty in the forms that emerge out of this crusty
shell. It wouldn’t be so nice if suddenly there were just these other fiery
substances.” But I would suggest we suspend judgment on that score, because the
current fallen human consciousness totally lacks awareness, and even
imagination, relative to forms that are possible in other vibrational levels of
substance.
The proportions of fine and
coarse substances in human beings are now imbalanced. But some finer substances
are present as long as life remains. These substances are referred to in the Bible as the silver cord and the
golden bowl. What we have called the Tone is our most conscious awareness
of the presence of these finer substances. Ultimately, the qualities of
Character expressed through an individual reveal the qualities of fine substance
present in that person. There is this vibrational, graduated continuum from Sun
substances down to the most coarse and crystallized physical substances. If the
finest substances are absent, then we experience voids of various kinds. These
voids, or the absence of finer substance, constitute the unhappy states we
experience. Having said that, this is not to condemn people who are experiencing
voids, and are therefore unhappy or uncomfortable. Remember, we are part of a
much larger collective body, and we cannot avoid sharing in the deficiencies of
this larger Body.
If our sense of Self begins to
rise into core substances and their Character, we have the experience known as transcendence.
This word is apt because it describes vibrational substances and
characteristics at the core of our Being that places our view and perspective
above the Earth, as is the Sun’s. So we too can encompass the planet and seek
to bless it. As we look out into the Earth, upon the people, the forms and
circumstances therein, we can bathe them in our radiant substance and nature.
We may bathe all in our Spirit, in the finest vertical substance available in
the heavens. We may know increasingly that I Am present, I Am one with the
greater forms of Sun substance and consciousness, and I Am intensifying My
presence here in all levels of substance. Through this radiation, creative
change will occur locally—in harmony with the much vaster range of substance
and consciousness of what we have called the Cosmos.
