The Inexorable Reintegration
Alan Hammond August 1, 1999
Ever since the so-called fall of
man a little while ago, he has lived in a fragmented universe. Throughout
recorded history, it is obvious that human beings have been trapped in an
isolated ego state, and these egos have felt removed from the natural condition
describable by the word heaven. They have felt very separate from all the forms
of nature, and what they’ve called the cosmos seems to be something unknown and
far, far away. However, we’ve also considered an evolution of experience caused
by the fact that the Earth is moving through vibrational space, and this
ever-changing context brings inevitable changes in the planet. This movement
and change is the inexorable restoration of the true experience to human
consciousness—the process of reintegration into the Divine Design.
There are various ways one might
examine this reintegrative process, but a simple one is to see the evolution of
the fragmented human consciousness in relationship to what has been called God.
In the isolated ego state, initially there was an attempt to suggest there was a God, that the universe didn’t
create itself somehow, that there had to be an intelligence and an animating
force back of everything. Then gradually there was a consideration of the
nature of this intelligence and force, and the idea emerged that it was a very
fine character, ultimately identifiable as Love. It was suggested by spiritual
leaders that human beings should be oriented in this God. Various mental
pictures of God were created—and these became structures in human
consciousness, but nevertheless provided some orientation and a sense of
connection to whatever was back of everything. Then came the next stage whereby
it was felt that this God was actually within us—called the atman, the divine
spark, or the Wonderful One within. So this wonderful Spirit was felt to be
very, very close and to be of great assistance in the living of life.
We, through Uranda and Martin,
were introduced to the idea that in fact this animating spirit “within” was who
we really are: “I am this beautiful Character; I am a Creator.” They taught
also that each of us was part of a collective Whole, the one Body of the Lord,
and that we had a part to play in this collective Body. And in these days we’re
emphasizing that aspect by realizing that: “I am, indeed, an aspect of the
Spirit of the One Creator—the Archangel”, and that this same Spirit is
detectable coming through everybody, at least at some time or another! It’s the
same Spirit emerging through the one body of mankind, albeit we acknowledge it
is doing so in a limited and distorted way. And beyond that, one recognizes the
same creative Spirit coming through all the life forms, which are also parts of
the body of the planet—which is the greater Archangelic Body.
Now this is also a very brief
resume of our own personal experience actually. If we look back over our lives
we probably see that what I’ve outlined as the history of the fallen human
re-creational process was essentially our own path of evolving consciousness
also. And today we find ourselves in the midst of what I would suggest is an
accelerating process of reintegration into an awareness of our Archangelic
Identity in the Archangelic Body. Yet to emerge is the awareness and experience
of reintegration into what has been called the cosmos, and function in all
these levels of the One Body. It’s rather as if the Archangelic Body and its
consciousness has to be born again, and it is being born again, to whatever
degree, through our own consciousness.
Identified in the Archangelic
Spirit of the Creator, we let an integrated Whole reemerge in our own
consciousness, because we let it emerge in our own experience. We behave in an
increasingly integrated way. We definitely realize that there is no aspect of
our lives which is separate from any other aspect. We may have previously
thought of our lives as being in little compartments, but they aren’t, and we
now know the natural requirement of expressing the Spirit of the Creator in
absolutely every moment, which will constitute radiation of the creative spirit
into all aspects of our living. This accelerates the fundamental process of
reintegration of spirit, of consciousness, and of function in the Whole. We
find that this is the core responsibility—revealing our Divine Character in the
Whole.
There will be some people who will
say, “Well I don’t believe this is what is happening. I don’t agree with the
picture you’ve outlined.” We have no need to argue with anybody about anything.
In one sense the days of “the Spirit of God wrestling with man” are over. The
process of integration is so far advanced now that the fragmented state won’t
be lasting very much longer anyway. It’s not so-called science that’s causing
the integration on every level in the world of man. We’ve sometimes considered
how it seems to be that scientific invention is facilitating a process of
integration on Earth. But of course science is merely an effect of something
working back of all the activity of human beings.
When spiritual points of focus
have emerged on Earth they’ve invariably been in direct contact with a
relatively few people. Most of the followers, after the departure of the points
of focus, very quickly forgot what was being taught, because they hadn’t
generated adequate oneness with those points of spiritual focus, and they soon
revealed their own lesser personal level of integration. However the effect of
the ministries of the spiritual leaders was not merely lateral with the few
followers they had physically encountered. Their radiation into the substance
of the body of mankind intensified the awakening and reintegration in
responsive substance scattered throughout the whole body of mankind, and that
process has continued through the centuries.
Often, people spiritually inclined
are very concerned about converting other people, usually to mental formulas
and dogmas. And though that is obviously a component in communication, in this
day we are beyond that level of focus. Now we concentrate on the qualitative
expression of spirit—and it’s radiation. We don’t have to argue with anybody
mentally. Surely our view is that anyone seeking to give expression to their
highest vision, no matter what that vision is, has our support. If they
actually do this, their vision will go higher. So I say, “Don’t bother to argue—get
on with embodying whatever your highest vision is”, because I know that the
reintegrative process is inexorably well underway. Nothing can stop it.
Often people spend their lives
arguing with others as to how important they are in the divine scheme of
things: “I’m an important spiritual leader. I have these superior concepts.” I
don’t think we should be too bothered about trying to convince anybody of such
a silly idea. I think we’d be much better occupied actually filling out our
personal point of spiritual beingness. Every human being is a unique focus of
the Spirit of God. All the Whole wants of each of us is to express as fully as possible
out of that quality of character, get on with that, not be busy looking around to see who’s watching—and then
arguing to tell everybody how wonderful that expression is, that they’d better
smarten up, see how wonderful you are—and follow! Now that may be a bit of a
negative slant on things, but it does go on, because that’s the isolated,
fragmented ego at work. Whereas if we are knowing increasing factual
integration, our only concern is to reveal who we truly are, letting the Whole
utilize that as is best for the Whole. It couldn’t be simpler. Who would we be
battling with? The fragmented ego is battling, wrestling, competing with
everybody and everything in sight. I would suggest that the integrated state is
simply seeking to contribute creatively in the moment.
The Archangelic Identity has
always remained intact, as One. It’s merely the fragmented human consciousness
which has not experienced that integrated Identity. The Archangelic outer
consciousness has to be reintegrated. How few people realize that the
consciousness of all the other living forms on earth affect and actually
interplay with the human consciousness. It should be one harmonious
consciousness. The ecology of the outer physical level of things is becoming
known in a vague way, but how it really all moves together is not known. And
the fragmented consciousness looking out into the cosmos does not see or
understand what that actually is. Nothing is really what it seems to be through
the fragmented human consciousness. Well saying that doesn’t get us very far,
except to let one’s consciousness realize that there’s going to be further
radical change, and that the Archangelic Body is going to purge itself. The
integrative process will continue. The question, I suppose, is: Is any human consciousness
flexible enough to undergo the radical change of experience that’s going to be
required to consciously return to the integrated state? Well, maybe, maybe
not—we don’t know yet. Maybe, as in the initial creative process when a “deep
sleep” fell upon Adam, another “deep sleep” is going to be required. We shall
see.
Anyway, there is an inexorable
process underway. There’s no need for us as individuals or collectively to
struggle to do anything. It’s already happening. However, there is something for us to do, and that is
to embody in every moment what is ours to embody of this process. It’s a large
picture that I’ve outlined, and it may not immediately seem to connect up with
our everyday living. Most people on Earth wouldn’t be interested in considering
something like this, especially if you call it a spiritual consideration,
because they usually want the meditation to relate to them personally—“My
personal feelings, my personal difficulties, my personal struggles, my personal
hopes and fears—that’s what I want to talk about—how I can make my life more
comfortable and cozy?” So I do understand that the kind of consideration we’ve
been sharing this morning would seem remote to an individual ego, torturously
slogging it’s way through an incomprehensible experience. But we are invited to
play our part in something much vaster—in fact, in the totality of Being, and
in letting the magnificence and the stature of that begin to be felt and
expressed through us once again.
This process of reintegration when
it applies to nations, can seem to have quite a destructive effect. As the
world shrinks, people are forced closer together, causing emotional reaction to
the perceived proximity (they’re not geographically much closer I suppose), but
having to interact with these people causes all sorts of things to rise up—memory,
resentment, fear, and so on. You can see that it’s emotional reaction,
crystallized states of consciousness, and the heart that come under pressure.
As this integrative process continues, so much of what currently exists doesn’t
belong in the reintegrated state, and one way or another it will be eliminated.
So as the distorted material of various dimensions is forced back into the One
Design, anybody or anything identified or involved with the distortion being
dissolved, will have a very disturbed experience.
Of course, all this must be translated into the
everyday factors of life. There are people who loom in our worlds who irritate
us, and that is part of this process we’re describing—whether on the personal,
national or international scale, between managers and workers, or in racial
matters. When some things are pressed towards us, there can be great
discomfort, fear and turbulence. However, we may cultivate the transparency of
consciousness necessary by simply letting people or circumstances that are
forced close, be there. We don’t have to argue with them, debate with them,
push them around, get hold of their necks and tell them they have to change
their ways.
The key is this apparent
detachment from outer circumstances. I know it may sound abstract (to the
isolated ego), but I would suggest that the larger the consciousness, the less
turbulence there is when there’s change within that consciousness. If you have
a small consciousness then every disturbance is a storm in a teacup. But if we
share in the Archangelic consciousness, everything can have it’s space and
place. We’re not trying to change it. It is going to be changed. It is being
changed under the influence of the Almighty Power, so we don’t have to
personally beat it into shape. Let it be changed. To people wrestling with “evil” this seems very detached and
abstract: “What the hell are you doing to help the situation?” Well we’re
letting the Creative Spirit which is animating everything, do everything then.
And our action in that situation will be part of that One Action, which is not
against anything. It is for what is
real. And when we are for what is real, the real will grow and what is unreal
will evaporate.
