The One Pure Tone of Creation
Dr. Steven Greer
from Hidden Truth — Forbidden Knowledge
At that point, I went into a state of meditative awareness and transcended into unity consciousness; I was infinitely awake and the entire cosmos was awake and perfectly synchronized as one. As I entered that state I began to gaze around the solar system and saw that every planet was surrounded by space which was filled with infinite energy and light. The empty space was actually teeming with light and energy. I could directly see the baseline energy of the universe — the field of energy and light from which the entire material cosmos emerges from Infinite Mind — from the Godhead.
Instead of the darkness between stars and planets, there was an enormous light and energy with solid planets moving as islands of energy in this field of energy and power. Then, as I gazed at each planet, I directly perceived that each one was awake and conscious and had a specific tone and personality. Each created sphere had a very specific tone — and if I were more musically inclined I could recreate it. They were all pure tones and very specific. As I looked at Mercury I saw he was rather androgynous but more male; Venus was definitely female. Jupiter was just fantastic. And Mars is definitely male. The Earth: Definitely female.
As I gazed at Earth, there was a very beautiful tone emanating from her. Remember, each planet had its own tone of creation — no two tones were alike. Some much higher and some very deep and baritone, but all were beautiful tones. As I gazed at the Earth, I connected with her as an awake conscious being and she communicated to me this infinite and crushing — I use the word crushing because I couldn't tell the story for years without weeping — love. And there was a sense of melancholy also, for what was happening to her and the damage being done to her and the suffering of humanity upon her. It was profound and beyond words. It was one of the most emotional and moving experiences of my life.
Earth was very clearly saying how great her love was for her children and that her purpose was to be the womb for creating life that could become enlightened and grow towards Divinity. But she was also suffering tremendously from the recklessness and selfishness of her children. So there was this enormous melancholy — a sadness beyond my ability to convey in words. And yet, towards the end of our communion, she made it very clear that this suffering would not continue for much longer. Earth made it clear that this burden would be lifted suddenly.
By now I was in such a state of deep love and emotion that my heart chakra opened fully and an enormous love and celestial perception dawned. This celestial perception of the cosmos caused me to see the light of creation and all things suffused in love — the pure love of God. And as I went into that state, I heard all the distant worlds, every star and planet and the entire creation, singing as one — like a trillion tones blended into the one pure tone of the creation.
At that point, I transcended into a state that I cannot describe. It was a state where I heard a singular tone that was the perfectly harmonized tone of the entire creation humming, singing. It was the primal tone emanating from the earliest manifestation of relativity out of the infinite mind of God that maintains creation. It was the most beautiful experience of my life.
As I transcended into that — I became one with that state and stayed within that state of Being. I don't know how long I was in that condition. But know that this is what is all around us. The music of the spheres is a reality — and within the tone, one can transcend to the infinity of the cosmic Being.
This primal tone wasn't Om, per se. I believe that is a human attempt to reproduce this ancient experience that is the perception of the sound of the primal thought emanating from the Infinite Being that creates the entire creation. It was on the level of the near death experience in terms of the transformative effect it had on me. After I stayed in that state of complete unity consciousness and God consciousness, my individuality dissolved. All that existed was infinite Being — and even the creation and Creator were one, the same, infinite awake-ness. I stayed in that state with it vibrating through me — just permeating me — for what seemed like eternity. Because I was beyond space and time, it is meaningless to talk about it in terms of how long it was.

We Are the Generation of Transformation
Dr. Steven Greer
from Hidden Truth — Forbidden Knowledge
Never be discouraged by this transient time of chaos. Keep your sights fixed on that far horizon—knowing the far horizon is not really that far. For it is already here, folded within us.
So we should not worry if in the coming days or years or few decades there is difficulty and darkness and chaos. Because this vision that we are seeing is already assured. No matter what anyone tries to do, the Divine Plan and the destiny of earth and humanity will be fulfilled. This reality exists already. Forget about time for a moment. Forget about the amount of time. See that on a deep level of creation that this plan for humanity exists — for universal peace, abundance, the abolition of ignorance, the end of disease, and the growth of enlightenment in every person on the planet ...
We are, in a sense, the children of the half-light. The light is there — but it is only half there, hidden in all the current darkness. But “God loves those who work together”. We can join with people and spend time with people who share this vision and are working in some way to fulfill this good future.
We have to be aware of the chaos, but we should not only focus on that. It's easy to dwell on the negative. But there's so much that's beautiful that's all around us and there's so much that's happening that's positive. We can discipline ourselves to dwell on that which is good and beautiful and draw that to us and bring it into the world. It isn't easy, because we live in a world that's increasingly harsh and destructive. But this propels us all the more to connect firmly to truth and to a deeper vision.
We must have the courage to choose enlightenment, and take responsibility for our own evolution and the progress of humanity.
We live in the most interesting of times. We're the last generation that will fully have the experience of both the old world and the new era. We're too close to it to really see it, but we have a beautiful station that is pivotal. It is unlike any generation before or that will come after. We are the generation of transformation. It is at once overwhelming and beautiful. We should be joyous and amazed at the extraordinary time we are in and the unparalleled opportunities we have.
Efforts expended through the difficulty of this time, for this purpose — for the establishment of universal peace — will be honored and remembered for thousands of years. If we seize the opportunity, we are providing a service to humanity that no other generation could provide — and that's why we're here.

Harmonious Complexity in the Tone
Alan Hammond
In our last service someone was emphasizing radiant, tonal thinking, rather than judging by the appearance of things, which is reflective thinking. I thought we could think some more about the Tone. The so-called Fall of human consciousness related to its orientation in the externals, and its subsequent false judgments—calling things good or bad, whereas we recognize that the processes of life are constantly changing and evolving, and the fixation on good and evil is an illusion. True tonal thinking is a process whereby the mind ascends into union with Spirit, or the Tone, and is radiantly moved by that.
What is the Tone? The Tone is the quality of the Spirit that radiates out of the undimensional levels of Being into time and space, and manifests simultaneously through all the forms in the dimensional universe. The Earth, as a physical form, has a particular tone. This tone, however, is composed of many sub-tones. Every physical form on the planet has its own tone. All the human beings, all the animals, plants, insects, fish, are all unique variations of the one Tone. So we can see how incredibly complex the planet’s tone is. This planetary tone moves into the solar system and is the Earth’s radiant contribution in that larger creative field. There are changes in this tone, as the proportions of forms change in the planet—such as fluctuations in vegetation, or proportions of species of animals, and so on. All this relates to the Earth’s radiant role in its larger creative field.
We have come to the awareness, however, that the Earth’s Tone in the dimensional levels is currently slightly off-tone. This is because of an aberration in a central component of the planet—namely, mankind. Because of the lack of a certain quality of fine substance, man’s conciousness and function are not integrated with that aspect of the Tone for which he is responsible. This has caused aberrations in nature. The lack of substance, and therefore the lack of an accurate manifestation of the Archangelic Tone, has many ramifications in the experience on Earth. With the lack of fine substance the human consciousness is crude, and consequently there are many mistranslations of the currents of Life, or the Tone, in human experience. Therefore, experiences are often given crude labels. For example, there are what are called desirable experiences, such as joy, carefulness, compassion, or bravery. But then there are some undesirable experiences—such labels might include sadness, anger, or resentment. However, bear in mind what I was saying about crude translations of experience.
All experience starts off from the true Tone, so at the core there is validity to sadness or anger. With sadness, for example, there may be a quality of experience that can be known as one comes to the end of a cycle, perhaps when someone that one has loved disappears from one’s life. That might evoke a certain feeling of sadness. Now, in the true state, that would be a very different quality of experience. There would be a hint of something of the nature of sadness, but for various reasons it wouldn’t be the emotional pit into which people usually fall. It would be a slight pulsation. At the conclusion of a cycle, one would know that one was moving on into another beautiful cycle—so it would be difficult to remain very sad if one were playing one’s part in the eternal, divine outworking. And in any case, identified in true Being, there is no leaving or separation of Angels in Spirit. There is not the same sense of loss. So what I am pointing to here is that what is known now as sadness is a pit, rather than a slight undulation in the processes of eternal life. Something like anger, which is usually frowned on, is an exaggerated distortion of what, in the true Tone, is an intensification of energy to remedy something that may be going slightly off-course. In an eternally changing cosmos, there is always the need for adjustments in order to maintain the true Tone in expression and the creative direction in the course of events.
So we can begin to sense that, with fine substance, the Tone has myriad nuances of translation. And in fact, no experience is ever just one thing. Here again is the crudeness of the current human psyche, because invariably a feeling is a combination of many tonal nuances. You’re not just happy. If you could examine such a feeling with fine substance you would discover that there are moderating factors present. It may seem a pity to ruin the notion of unadulterated, ecstatic bliss, but there are always other subtle elements influencing the experience—that is the truth of the matter. The quality of experience we have in any moment is actually a combination of many, many nuances. There are as many nuances of feeling as there are colors, and there is an almost infinite number of those. What I am describing now, of course, is largely unconscious to most people. They categorize their experience in these crude definitions: happy, sad, angry, and so on.
Everyone and everything on Earth articulates something of the vast planetary tone. And in any situation there is a certain blending of nuances of the Tone through all the things and people that are present, and their interaction. We can immediately see the complexity of this process, and the outer mind of itself cannot possibly navigate accurately in the midst of such complexity. In fact, the fallen mind doesn’t even realize how great the complexity is until we start drawing it to our attention, as we are doing now. The mind just blindly blunders on. It is futile for the isolated, reflective mind to try to successfully navigate this complexity, but it is natural for the Tonal Self to accurately navigate it all with ease.
This leads us to a parenthetical meditation on righteous judgment. In situations we will often find that rightly we neither fully approve of everything nor fully disapprove of everything. You might say that the accurate picture isn’t that cut and dried, because in every situation there is this complexity moving, and we will find that in any situation there are mixed feelings discernable. To be truly accurate to the Tone in a situation, all these myriad factors would need to be taken into account. Here we are getting into a zone that is out of the usual range of conscious human function. The mind likes to have it all cut and dried—“This is good,” “That is bad,” “I feel fully approving of this,” or “I feel fully disapproving of that”—it cannot stand seeming ambiguity. So what I am saying would sound incomprehensible, impossible or nonsensical to most people.
In any situation we don’t love everything, nor do we hate everything. Rightly, it is something else. “Spiritual” people like to imagine that when they arrive at their spiritual apex they are going to love everybody and love everything. But there is also such a thing as Truth, which relates, for one thing, to definition of proximity and relationship. If we love everything with the same intensity we’ll get it wrong, because there are some things which we—I hesitate to use the word hate, but nevertheless such a feeling has its usefulness, because some things need to be kept at a distance and other things drawn near. In the human consciousness, people like to have what they love right next to them, and what they hate or dislike they prefer further away. But in this level of function about which I am speaking, hate or dislike isn’t a condemning attitude. Rather, it describes a feeling process that helps move factors to their proper distance from one. In all of this we can see the vital necessity of a pure heart. The impure heart mistranslates a great deal of the vibrational information it contacts. Only a pure heart is a trustworthy instrument of perception and expression.
The design of Being is a miracle, because each tiny detail fits into this vast, complex design. Your eyeball fits in the cosmos! In order to fit in its place, each part must sound its true tone. When it sounds its true tone, it finds its place, its sense of the fitness of things. We can see here that we are invited to participate in a tremendous art—the art of finding where and how we fit in this vast complexity in every moment. As is obvious from what we have been saying, the key to discharging this art is in sounding our own true tone. There is something of the character of true Being to be expressed exactly where we are. In doing this, we find that we are in exactly the place where we belong.
Human nature doesn’t belong—it doesn’t belong anywhere. That is why so many people are always looking for somewhere else to have a sense of belonging, because they don’t feel they belong where they are. The Tone always belongs. Here is something of a paradox because, in our experience in the world that the isolated human mind has created, we don’t always feel that we do belong in it in various ways. It is, after all, a foolish, distorted world. We often feel that we are “in the world but not of it.” However, we have come to know that, even in this dysfunctional world, we have a role to play, and that role is to reintroduce the true Tone of Being. So we do belong, even in this mad, sad world!
Our individual tone, when sounded, has some interesting powers. To begin with, it attracts and repels the substances that compose our own physical bodies. Each physical body is unique, composed of different proportions of substances. The true Tone implements that composition. This principle applies to the individual’s personal world also. The radiation of the Tone will draw elements that should fittingly be close, and move others further away. This is true of the planetary body too. Radiation from the undimensional core of the Earth changes the proportion of vegetation and animals, and so on, in the physical body of the planet.
However, these attractions and repulsions are for the benefit of the Whole, not merely for the individual, which is where the mind usually leaps when contemplating this radiant power. The radiation functions only to further the purposes of the Whole. We can ask ourselves, “What should be my personal contribution to the Whole?” We know the answer to that—“It is the expression of my true Being, the tone of my angelic Self.” This life is also the same life that is emerging through the planet, and its contribution is the same—“I am here to express the purity of my true Being.” As an individual, I emerge through the complexity of this physical human form. It’s a small thing but very complex. And I express Myself, the Tone, through this complexity. Simple! And it is simple from the Archangelic point of view also. The Archangelic Identity says, “I express Myself, my creative Tone, through the complexity of this, my larger planetary Body.” I don’t have to think about all that complexity because, in spiritual Identity, the Tone is the focus of My Being and action.
The Earth’s radiation is not merely reflected energy from the Sun. There is a radiation from the Earth, through all of its life-forms. This includes individual human beings also. There is something that is radiant through the form—namely, the Tone. It is the radiant Identity which sees. Without radiation, there is no seeing. Dead forms cannot see anything. Mankind as he currently is, is half dead, so he doesn’t see very much. When he looks out into the cosmos at other planets and solar systems, for example, they all look dead to him. The big question posed by the blind mind is “Is there other life in the universe?”—because it cannot see anything that it interprets as life. On Earth, when a person looks at other human beings, they only see a fraction of who is present—usually the outer reflected form and its distorted personality. As mankind looks at the vegetation and animals, he thinks he sees something, but it is only a little of what is really there. There is no radiant vision. We might say that, in radiant vision, one begins to see Being—Self, I Am, differentiated. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God”—everywhere! We can see how important the purity of heart is.
All this hints at another interesting factor, which is that all Being is in constant communication. Again, the current fallen consciousness is virtually unaware of the potential communication and communion in the Tone. Human beings endeavor to communicate; we know that. What we long to communicate is communion, but because of the lack of fine substance there is only communication of blank to blank—and distortions! But all creatures communicate. We have a couple of doves that live on our ridge, and it is very beautiful to hear them communicating from one end of the woods to the other. Of course all the other birds are at it as well! Even a rattlesnake will communicate that you are about to step on him! It has been suggested that vegetation can communicate. I read that a group of fir trees were diseased and their leaves turned color. Other fir trees, within view, developed an immunity to this disease, which to the researchers indicated there had been communication and that the observing trees had generated an antidote before the disease reached them. Be that as it may, vegetation certainly communicates with human beings—for example, flowers speak volumes describing beauty. The forms in Being are not mindless, and there is communication that is designed to maintain fitting relationship for creative function in the one Design. All aspects of the Tone are complementary to each other, facilitating this vast process of creativity.
So we are concerned to sound our aspect of the Tone, not for our own benefit, which is the preoccupation of most human consciousness—“Me, Me, Me, Me.” There is a larger Identity and a larger creative purpose. We might start by considering the planetary Identity and purpose. “Well, what is that?” This is currently far beyond human thought and consideration, which reflects the state of human consciousness. Such a question seems irrelevant to most people. And our own consciousnesses certainly can’t encompass the answer to that at the moment, but at least we entertain the question and acknowledge the fact that there is a planetary purpose. We are concerned that this purpose be undertaken and we are seeking to reintroduce the true Tone of Man again, which is part of the process of restoring the larger vision.
Our immediate purpose could be said to be “I Am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Our purpose is the burgeoning of the whole of Being. A human ego hearing that might think, “Oh goody, I’ll hang around this guy; he’s going to do everything he can to make me happy!” No, it is the kindly dissolution of the isolated human ego that we have in mind! And beyond that lies the true restoration.
The Tone is not something that can be described by the mind. A part of our living purpose and adventure is to give expression to It. It is, after all, who we are!

Living in a Cosmic Mandala
Alan Hammond August 9, 2009
The word mandala is from Sanskrit and means circles with centers. This motif is used in the art of various religions, primarily perhaps Buddhism and Hinduism. Often, circles are drawn with elaborate designs made within them, usually to depict the Cosmos. These works of art are produced in paint, perhaps mosaic, and sometimes in colored sand. After the mandalas are made in colored sand, they are destroyed. This in itself symbolizes the impermanent nature of the cosmic scheme of things. I thought we might look at some of the principles involved in the mandala and bring those principles more vividly to our consciousness and to our living experience.
The mandala is a design that appears throughout the macro and the micro aspects of the Cosmos. We see the pattern in atoms, solar systems, and in galaxies. We can bear in mind that, although we may immediately think of the physical Cosmos, it is in fact a multidimensional entity. Consider for a moment that each living physical form and person radiates energy, so each form extends an influence into the Whole. Every form and person is therefore at the center of a radiant mandala, and each center is a focus of cosmic Being—“I Am.” It is astounding that this vast, cosmic, intricacy of design is intended to interact harmoniously in this living, ever-changing organism, and rep- resents countless relationships interacting constantly in the Whole.
Some years ago we devised a seminar process designed to actively engage with these cosmic principles and to let them become more vivid in our awareness and in our living. In this seminar experience, the thirty-five or so participants would sit in a large circle, and then were invited, as the Spirit moved, to individually stand up and move in the circle. Now remember, each person is a center of unique radiation. Someone would start the process and, after they had been in the circle for a moment or two, someone, moved by the current of the Spirit, would feel related and would stand and join them in the circle, seeking to find the right distance from this other person. Then others would join, and their task was to find their appropriate position and relationship to the others already moving in the circle. I trust you can imagine this experience. It is fairly easy to relate to one other person in a circle, but as more bodies are added it becomes more complex to sense exactly where one should be in relationship to them all. There was, of course, no coercion involved. Everyone had to let others behave and express their sense of relatedness, and then move relative to them.
We recognize that proximity to different sources of radiation affects our experience. On the macro scale, proximity and movement of other planets affect us. Here immediately on Earth, the presence of other forms affects us. It could be the ocean, a mountain or a forest. Of course the proximity of other people affects us. I am sure we have noticed that if there is a group of people, the arrival of one other person changes the experience of the whole. This may be, and usually is, an unconscious process for all concerned; nevertheless, the total constellation of vibration changes when the other person appears.
Going back to the people in the circle, I remember on one occasion a lady came close to me in this process; she apparently felt she should be about a yard away. I didn’t feel too comfortable with that. I thought it was a bit close and blocking other lines of energy that I felt were appropriate. So I took a step back. She took a step forward! We did this a couple of times and I thought, well, this is getting nowhere! But then, in the current of the Spirit I realized I could modify the situation if, instead of facing her, I turned obliquely away from her. Apparently she felt all right at that distance, and I felt relieved.
So there are ways, you see, of deflecting radiation, with which we are not comfortable. You might say that I changed my physical attitude to her. As we shall see later, it is also possible to change our mental and emotional attitude to people, forms and situations that we deem to be too close, and perhaps uncomfortable.
Our whole experience of life, and therefore of relationship with everything and everybody, is really this process of feeling right with the distance, the intensity of the current felt, and the actual interaction with the forms and people in our worlds. Without having the time to examine this too thoroughly now, we can appreciate that the optimum distance between all the objects and people in our world would be optimum for our experience of creativity. So we are considering the art and science of Being, and of creative relationship in Being.
We cannot always choose the forms or the people that appear around us in our world. We must remember, after all, that the Cosmos does not exist simply for our comfort. There is work and creative challenge present with us. Sometimes, perhaps we criticize others in our mandala-world because they irk us. But maybe the problem is our inability to adjust accurately and finely to their proximity. The finer our spiritual substance, the finer will be our ability to adjust to all the relationships in our world, and therefore bring greater harmony into that mandala.
Another person’s physical proximity is not necessarily the criteria for their vibrational, or spiritual, proximity to us. We can be at quite a physical distance from other people, and yet know within ourselves a vibrational and spiritual closeness, and therefore experience an ongoing creative relationship. What I’m going to say next may sound a little esoteric. But there are human beings in the Design who we never see at all, and yet we are connected to them through fine vibrational substance. This can facilitate a creative relationship.
The relationships of atoms, molecules, forms, solar systems, galaxies, are constantly changing—and so are our personal relationships with everything and everybody. The experience on this planet depends on the relationships of many heavenly bodies. This includes not just the physical relationships, but there are also other dimensions, of which the human consciousness is now unaware. These larger patterns of relationship are, in principle, the same as we know in human relationships. The Earth can only have its right relationships in the Cosmos, and therefore the right experience, if its radiation is on Tone. And we well know that its radiation is not now on Tone, primarily due to the state of human beings.
We as individuals can only know right relationships in our lives, in our mandala, with anyone, with anything, if the radiation coming from us is of Love, Truth, Life—the Tone. Our central relationship (speaking now of the outer consciousness) is with our true spiritual Identity. Once this true Identity is established, all other relationships emerge from this. In this unified Identity, we can accurately sense what fits with Self. We sense what fits in quality, in proximity, and in role. The Cosmos and all therein are composed of these constantly changing relationships. And underlying every single relationship is Love. This is worth remembering. In our every relationship we have opportunity to discover the experience of a unique nuance of Love.
We do not impose on others or their space. I suppose the exception to this statement would be with children, or with severely distorted people who need drastic guidance. But we are not particularly speaking of those sorts of relationships now. Of course, we know that Angels, the true Identity of all human beings, can be trusted to behave as they should in the shifting Design. We also know that in the world the way it is now, discernment is needed, and some caution, because human beings often use freedom for license. We are not foolish in our initial patterns of relationship.
Let’s consider for a moment some of the forms in our worlds (which are, remember, forms of radiation) that don’t seem creative to our experience. We can’t eliminate them all. Some we may move further away from, but others, because of the complexity of the Design, are close to us. So let us consider utilizing them creatively. We’ve previously mentioned people who criticize us. Most people don’t like being criticized, but we take a different attitude. We may not like criticism either, but we listen and see if there is any justification for their observation. If there is, then we are delighted and remedy our behavior or change whatever is needed. Many difficult situations, if dealt with in a creative spirit, can make our expression clearer, more refined, stronger. We can, by our attitude to any form or situation, turn these things into positive creativity. We can incline our attitudes at every level away from the negative and hostile elements in our mandala, and let our creative Spirit, radiation, modify everything in our worlds.
Each of us is at the center of our personal world, circle, and we may experience an exciting, personal, living mandala. A large part of our mandalas are not created solely by our own radiation; there is the radiation from everybody else too. But we should consider the quality of our radiation, because we know that this invisible power attracts and repels objects and people in our world. We can, by our radiation, modify the effect of absolutely everything in our world.
Now obviously not all of our radiation is conscious, but we can intensify our creative intent. Our own distortions often cause us to mistranslate the radiation coming from others and from circumstances in our worlds, and this just adds to the world chaos. But if we persist with the intent of on-Tone expression, then patterns begin to emerge in our lives that have cosmic Identity, and science behind them. Actually, of course, everybody’s mandala and everybody’s world has appeared and will appear on the basis of Divine science. However, we are concerned with changing the quality of our radiation back into the pure Tone of Being. The Tone then places us where we should be and allows us to be aligned with the larger Archangelic action. At the core of such a vast process are the intelligence, the power and the purposes of the Cosmos.
Human beings use physical objects as symbols that can be used in various ways to bring invisible, vibrational factors to consciousness. There are many religious symbols utilized in this way. For example, the Christian religion evokes such factors with a cross; Buddhism with statues of the Buddha. And there are a myriad other such symbols. Symbols are used by human governments—flags, for example, may represent a nation. Symbols can be used to bring vibrational factors to consciousness and focus to be worked with, as is done at weddings. In the Western world, the exchange of rings is symbolic of the exchange of eternal love. Thus, in many ways, symbols bring qualities of radiation to focus in our worlds.
This, however, may be seen as a somewhat elementary view of symbolism. The truth is that every physical object is a symbol of spiritual and vibrational factors, present to be portals for radiation and work. When we express our energy, our Spirit, toward any object, we are releasing our radiation into the Cosmos, into the Whole. It is worth remembering that we cannot skip over those people and things that are closest to us in our worlds, in our mandalas—imagining we are going to offer something magnificent to the world at large, to God and the Cosmos—yet neglect the quality of our interchange with what is immediately present with us in the Design of Being. We simply cannot skip over it. Radiation moves from us into the Cosmos through those people and objects closest to us. Also, the radiation from the Cosmos comes to us through these same portals. Each person and form in our immediate world is our connection into the larger Whole. What a marvelous arrangement this is! It makes something so vast very manageable to us in our creative work.
